One of the best things about the Wood River Valley is the community we all create. There are awesome opportunities to be part of helping others, improving our surroundings and ourselves. From park equipment improvements to the Sun Valley Wellness Festival to helping seniors with home repairs. Both the Sun Valley Board of Realtors and Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties really step up and help make this such a great place to live.
Stephanie Reed, our Distinctive Angel of the Year, serves on the boards of our local Realtor association and the Sun Valley Wellness Festival. Concerts, lectures, vendors and a general spirit of health permeated the area for the entire weekend.
My husband, Jeff, and I helped with the Girls On The Run 5K this past weekend, spreading cheer, water and orange paint on all that passed our 2-mile station. Managing Director, Cathy Nikolaisons ran past with her family. We even got a chance to catch up with dear friends visiting from Florida. They are enjoying the next-best-thing to living here, a month long vacation rental! And what a great time to be here--beautiful weather, low crowds, and an abundance of activities.
This week I'll be volunteering for the Nelson Tournament. This annual baseball weekend brings 20 teams of 9-10 and 11-12-year-olds and their families from all over Idaho to the Wood River Valley. This is the 45th year, which makes it my 25th as an official scorekeeper. It's amazing to watch the kids come and grow through our community!
There is no better place to be than the Sun Valley area, for the weekend or forever! So whether you are ready to be here full-time or just want to come experience the beauty and relaxation that is the Wood River Valley, give us a call at Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties, 208.622.3400. We love where we live and we would love to help you call it home, too!
